Do you know what we wish we could do? Start up an organisation that spreads awareness of plurality using arguments based on neurodiversity, personhood and complex systems, rather than using spiritual arguments, or ‘that’s the way it is’ explanations. Right now, current methods really don’t seem to be reaching many non-plurals, who are sort of stuck in this ‘one mind, one body’ mentality, and just giving examples from life doesn’t seem to combat that notion. For example, we’ve got someone who’s reading our locked LJ, and is just observing us based on our writing, and he still doesn’t quite get plurality as a concept. People seem to have fixed ideas about ‘what is real, and what is not’, and in order to change people’s perceptions, we have to deal with it from a philosophical and cognitive perspective, rather than a practical, leading-by-example method. It’s kind of depressing that it has to be that way, but it’s what has to happen. That’s why the bulk of EUP articles DO focus on those things, rather than ‘this is how our operating system works’.

Hi Fenners……sup?
Yeah, a plural education something-or-other would be cool…….to tell singlets what it’s really like to be plural……
Our system is a 4 total member/3 active member group. We haven’t gotten around to writing a whole lot about plurality on our own blog, but we have something there most likely…….
